VH1 DIVAS

IMAGINARY FORCES . OCTOBER 2010

USO PRESENTS...

In this opening I worked extensively on the concluding section featuring Kathy Griffin, focusing on enhancing the transitions and ensuring a seamless flow. To achieve this, my primary responsibility involved the meticulous construction and animation of the stage and flag in Cinema. I encountered a significant challenge when working on the cloth simulation in Cinema 4D, as I aimed to create a realistic sense of weight while optimizing the time required to achieve a desirable outcome.

To infuse the show with a distinctive World War II pin-up aesthetic, VH1 expressed the desire to incorporate the renowned photographer Carlo Pieroni. His expertise in capturing the essence of pin-up culture proved invaluable in bringing a nostalgic charm to the production. However, due to logistical constraints, capturing live video footage of the performers was not feasible. In response, Jeremy, the mastermind behind the project, ingeniously devised a strategy to breathe life into the iconic posters. The resulting animatic, meticulously brought to life by Jeremy, remained faithful to our original vision, impressing everyone involved.
